Motley Crue - Saints Of Los Angeles (2008) [24/06 10:06AM]

Howdy all! This has been my first release in a while, as the music scene has been pretty dead. At any rate, I have for you Motley Crue’s latest album, Saints of L.A. hot and ready to go [4 days early]. These guys can still rock, the album sounds amazing and it looks pretty promising. The boys in Crue have lived up the their badass reputation and the album could have been dated 1987 … it’s the old Crue (a little aged) but it still sounds like them. Check this out if you love ‘em, and for you youngens who’ve never picked up a record, check this out. Good solid rockin’ at the core. Enjoy!

All the filth and fury of their Eighties heyday, finally funneled into an album Mötley Crüe have created a cottage industry out of rehashing their excesses: Their tales of debauchery have already fueled dozens of books and a standard-bearing episode of Behind the Music. Now they’ve woven those stories into their first album in eight years. Inspired by their 2001 sleazeography, The Dirt, Saints of Los Angeles finds Vince Neil flashing back to the band’s golden age: gigging on the Sunset Strip, snorting powders, screwing the wrong girls and (later) filing lawsuits (the band sued its former manager last year). (More)

Mötley Crüe is an American glam metal/heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1981. The band was founded by bass guitarist Nikki Sixx (who was, at the time, in a band called London) and drummer Tommy Lee, who were later joined by lead guitarist Mick Mars (whom Sixx first met at a liquor store, before they met again through a classified ad) and singer Vince Neil. Mötley Crüe has sold over 72 million album copies worldwide, including 25 million copies in the US alone. The band has often been noted for their hard-living lifestyles; all members have had numerous brushes with the law, spent time in jail, suffered long addictions to alcohol and drugs, had countless escapades with women, and are heavily tattooed.

I love the new single, it’s killer! I haven’t gotten the album yet, but I plan on grabbing it tonight (today was pay day, sweeeet). I am really excited about Cruefest also, but being from Hollywood is probably part of why that excitement is so strong. It feels good walking the Strip and knowing that the Crue is back! Freakin’ sweet. I saw Nikki at the Hustler store a couple weeks ago, nice guy, he was there with Kat. They make a good couple, a bit of an age difference but whatever. I’m an ambassador for Hustler Hollywood and for July we’re having a killer sale called the Freedom Sale. 15 percent off a select amount of pretty bad ass stuff. Hit me up if you want the coupon. I also have some other stuff I can hook you guys up with. Peace, Jack Young HH Ambassador jackyoung@ymail.com myspace.com/hustlerjack
